Pakistan Army Leads Flood Relief Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, August 17, 2025 — The Pakistan Army, under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, has taken charge of large-scale flood relief and rescue operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Soldiers, supported by Frontier Corps (FC) North, are actively engaged in relief efforts in the hardest-hit districts of Buner, Shangla, and Swat.
Despite severe weather conditions, army helicopters continue to conduct air rescue missions, swiftly evacuating stranded residents to safety. Overnight, additional troops were deployed to the worst-affected areas, further strengthening coordination with local authorities and speeding up rescue operations.
