Pakistan Successfully Deploys Advanced Remote Sensing Satellite, Boosting Space Capabilities
Islamabad, August 16, 2025 — Pakistan has achieved another milestone in space exploration as the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) confirmed the successful deployment of its advanced remote sensing satellite. The satellite was launched from China’s Xichang Satellite Launch Center on July 31, 2025, and is now fully operational.
According to SUPARCO, the satellite has established stable communication with ground stations and is actively transmitting high-resolution images. The advanced imaging system is expected to play a vital role in urban planning, infrastructure development, and regional monitoring.
